 it a secret:              Ten challenges for deontic logic in AI \n\nAbstra
 ct:\n\nDeontic logic formalizes normative reasoning in terms of logical rel
 ations between facts, obligations, prohibitions and permissions. It is used
  to reason about intelligent agents, to represent legal knowledge, and most
  recently, for explainable AI. In this overview talk I discuss ten challeng
 es from the deontic logic literature, from the AI point of view that deonti
 c logic may be seen as a branch of non-monotonic logic.\n\nShort biography:
 \n\nLeon van der Torre joined in January 2006 the University of Luxembourg 
 as a full professor for Artificial Intelligence. He co-developed input/outp
 ut logic, the game-theoretic approach to normative multi-agent systems, the
  ArchiMate approach and the LogiKEy methodology. He is a EurAI fellow, depu
 ty editor-in-chief and deontic logic corner editor of Journal of Logic and 
 Computation, member of editorial boards of Logic Journal of the IGPL and th
 e IFCoLog Journal of Logics and their Applications, member and former chair
  of the DEON steering committee, and editor of the handbook of deontic logi
 c and normative systems (2013, in preparation), handbook on formal argument
 ation (2018), handbook on normative multiagent systems (2018), and handbook
