We are honoured to have Katarzyna Malinowska, the Director of Centre of Space Studies at Kozminski University in Poland as our speaker. Title: Managing the risks of space ventures from the insurance perspective
Abstract: The lecture will focus on risk management processes in the space projects from the insurance perspective. In that context, the role of insurance in the space sector will be outlined. Then the importance of the risk management process as an element of the project management will be discussed - in order to show and place insurance as a risk management
tool at specific stages of the risk management process. In this respect, we will also discuss the notion of the risk for insurance purposes and insurability of the space risks and will talk on allocating the specific risks in the space projects and contracts.
